A free how-to night in your space

A 45-minute after-hours class on something you know well brings in people who have never been inside.

Steps

  1. Pick a skill your customers ask about: sharpening a knife, a ten-minute hairstyle, fixing a flat, brewing better coffee.
  2. Limit the seats so it stays hands-on, and take names at the counter or by phone.
  3. Keep the teaching to 30 minutes, then leave time for questions and shopping.
  4. Hand each guest a sheet with the steps and your hours.

What to count

Guests, and your sales during the class and in the week after.

Keep it clean

If you hand out food or drink samples, check with your local health department first.
