A perk for your slowest hour

Find the hour that is always quiet and give people one small, specific reason to come then.

Steps

  1. Use a week of door counts (or your receipts) to find your slowest regular hour.
  2. Pick one perk for that hour only: a size up, a quick add-on, no wait for a chair.
  3. Name it plainly with the hour in the name ("the 3 o'clock cup") and post it inside and out.
  4. Run it for four weeks before you judge it.

What to count

People in that hour on perk days, against the same weekday before.

Keep it clean

If you serve alcohol, check your state's rules first: some states limit drink discounts and happy hours.
